Assistant City Manager

The Assistant City Manager assists the City Manager in the overall management of City; and serves as liaison for various projects. The position is a critical link between the Mayor, Board of Commissioners, City Manager and Department Heads, in addition to the direct management and oversight of the Administrative Services Department. 

This position is a leader in the identification of resources, prioritization of initiatives and projects, and development of strategies to improve city services, in accordance with the City’s Strategic Plan.  The Assistant City Manager reviews and prepares various studies and reports, and offers recommendations on a range of policy issues and service improvements, based upon local, state, and national trends, as well as best management practices.

While working closely with the City Manager and Finance Director, the Assistant City Manager is a key contributor to the development and implementation of the city budget to ensure coordination of resources between departments and alignment with the City’s Strategic Plan.
