Biography
Joshua D. Kohr was elected to the Board of Commissioners in 2019. Josh was born aboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point and raised in North Carolina. Living in Havelock since 2008, he has a passion to see Havelock grow and reach its full potential. His involvement in politics began in 2014 by helping in a few political campaigns and embarking on a multiyear (informal) study of America's founding documents. In 2015, he continued learning by serving as a House, Senate, and Governor's Page and working as a field representative for Susan B. Anthony List. Mr. Kohr worked to pay his way through college and graduated with a degree in criminal justice from Pensacola Christian College in 2019. After college, he has been working his way upward through management positions in Havelock. He is a member of Freedom Baptist Church and is involved in the community.
His biggest priority is to help cast a unified comprehensive vision for the City and to shape better communication between the Board of Commissioners and the citizens of Havelock.

Commissioner Josh Kohr is currently appointed as the Board of Commissioners representative to the Appearance Commission and Traffic Committee.
